SERVICES

The Safety & Health Council is an education and outreach organization and we offer defensive driving courses , child car seat safety courses and donations of carseats to low-income families , occupational training , professional safety consultation.

MISSION STATEMENT

The Safety & Health Council is a nonprofit community service organization which has been serving the area since 1916. Your Council is dedicated to preventing unintentional injuries where ever they occur. Through our outreach and education programs, we are helping to make our community a safer place to live, work and play.

FOUNDED 102 YEARS AGO ON AUGUST 22, 1916

Excerpt From Kansas City Times, August 23, 1916

“At a meeting at The Hotel Baltimore yesterday representatives of twelve Kansas City Concerns elected an executive board and organized for the prevention of accidents. It will be called the Kansas City Branch of the National Safety Council.”
